Tropospheric Scatter Communications

Groza Troposcatter Communication System is the first digital small-sized tropo scatter communication system designed for civilian use. The data transmission technology is based on the reflection of the signal from the troposphere, the lower layer of the atmosphere.

The equipment provides data transfer rate of up to 25 Mbit/s in troposcatter communication mode and of up to 150 Mbit/s in radio-relay communication mode.

At least two transmitting and receiving stations are required to organize a tropospheric communication line. Groza can operate in extreme weather conditions: with air temperature ranging from -50 to +65 degrees Celsius, air humidity up to 98%, wind speed up to 20 m/s. The equipment is easy to deploy and operate, requiring low energy consumption.
